Washington State 911 Jobs and the APCO – NENA Washington State Chapter are hosting the first ever statewide 911 recruitment event, April 15, 2023, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at South Sound 911 in Tacoma. The event is open to the public and is free to attend; attendees are encouraged to register online by April 7.
The event will feature information about job openings in 911 centers throughout Washington. In addition, attendees will have the chance to connect with representatives from several 911 centers and will hear from a panel of subject matter experts with diverse backgrounds in public safety to provide valuable insights about the various professions in the field.
“We are excited to connect job seekers and 911 center representatives from across the state for this important event,” said Lora Ueland with Washington State 911 Jobs. “This is an opportunity for those interested in an exciting career in 911 to learn more about the profession, hear from experts who do the job, and connect with potential employers.”
Participating agencies include South Sound 911, Valley Communications Center, Spokane Regional Emergency Communications, Bothell Police Department Communications Center, Seattle Community and Safety Communications Center, Southeast Communications Center, Pencom, Island County 911, Enumclaw Police Emergency Communications, San Juan County 911, King County Sheriff’s Office, NORCOM, Snohomish 911, Kitsap 911, Jefferson 911, Thurston County, and Washington State Patrol.
