Lessons Learned from Recent Cyber Attacks

October 5, 2022 @ 2:15 pm - 3:15 pm PDT

Public safety is considered a high value target by cyber threats. They have been increasingly attacking our country’s critical 9-1-1 services, local governments and other critical infrastructures using different types of methodologies and attack vectors. ECC’s need to be aware of the increasing cyber threat landscape around them and the types of attacks that have impacted, and in some instances shut down, critical services and resources. By understanding the types of attacks and how the network system was breached helps an ECC assess their own cyber posture, identify possible weak points of entry, fortify those weaknesses, and formulate policies and protocols to create improved cyber resiliency. Cybersecurity awareness and training is becoming more and more vital to the day-to-day operations of our ECCs. , Presented by Sean Scott, SecuLore. Class Location: Classroom A.

Sean Scott, CEO/CTO of SecuLore Solutions, has over 30 years of technology innovation and cybersecurity solutions architecture and responds to the needs of our nation’s critical infrastructures against evolving cyber threats. He is actively involved in the advancement of cyber policy and is appointed to the FCC’s CSRIC VIII working group.
