How To Survive This Theme Park called a Communication’s Center

October 5, 2022 @ 10:45 am - 11:45 am PDT

This fun-filled hour is meant to compare how Communication Centers are much like theme parks. Even though there are things we do not always like about Theme Parks, we continue to go back despite our complaining. This feeling is much like a Comm Center when it comes to the daily negative “baggage” we ourselves bring to the job yet keep punching the timecard every day and expect a better thrill. So, how do we make the experience a better one? During this session we will have some laughs and learn more about what makes that ride work, figure out how to better enjoy the visit, and some tips for making make the most out this a once-in-a-lifetime ticketed experience!, Presented by Chris Law, Chris Law. Class Location: Classroom H.

Chris Law is the Training Supervisor for Kitsap 911. She has 28 years of Telecommunicator experience, starting as a dispatcher, then CTO, Lead Dispatcher, CBD and Classroom instructor, instructor for the WA State CJTC, and is the Call Receiving Academy Facilitator. Chris believes in building resiliency for Telecommunicators from the beginning of this career and managing behaviors that will negatively impact the length of tenure invested individually in this industry!
